Boozman, Hill standing up for Arkansans - Kerr

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr today released the following statement praising Sen. John Boozman and Rep. French Hill for their support of the Flood Insurance Market Parity and Modernization Act (S. 1679 and H.R. 2901), federal legislation that would aid the entry of private insurers into the flood insurance market:

“Flood insurance has been exclusively available through the National Flood Insurance Program, a federal program currently running a deficit of over $24 billion.  I strongly praise Sen. Boozman and Rep. Hill for standing up for Arkansans by adding their names as co-sponsors to this common sense legislation that will allow the private flood insurance market to grow, benefitting and protecting Arkansans through simple competition.”
