New approval means more options for Arkansas seniors – Kerr

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr today released the following statement announcing his recent approval Nebraska-based Radnor Specialty Insurance Company (RSIC) to do business in Arkansas:

“I am happy to announce this new approval, as it means that Arkansas seniors will have more options available to them when they shop for Medicare Advantage coverage.  Showing that our state is open for business will attract more companies to our state, which will result in lower insurance rates thanks to competition.”

Currently licensed in five additional states, RSIC is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway group and its products are distributed through licensed independent wholesale brokers and retail agents.  Radnor is one of two Berkshire companies marketed under the brand name Devon Park Specialty Insurance. The Devon Park brand seeks to provide coverage for small and medium sized companies having larger or more complex risk profiles than other target market insureds.
