Kerr Approves New Dental HMO

Illinois-based company to do business in 61 counties

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr today released the following statement announcing his approval of Illinois-based AccessCare General, Inc. (ACG), a limited benefit health maintenance organization, to do business in Arkansas:

“I am proud to welcome our ninth new company this year, which I have approved to do business in 61 counties.  AID is committed to the fact that our state is open for business and will continue to seek out more companies to offer products to Arkansans.”

ACG is an Illinois domestic insurer that provides dental care to nursing home residents to supplement Medicaid services. It currently offers individual prepaid limited benefit in-facility dental insurance policies in the states of Illinois and Indiana. The company seeks to offer an individual limited benefit dental insurance policy for on-site dental services delivered to Arkansans in living facilities, including assisted living, nursing home and other similar institutions.

AID has approved ACG to operate in the following 61 Arkansas counties: Arkansas, Baxter, Benton, Boone, Carroll, Clark, Clay, Cleburne, Columbia, Conway, Craighead, Crawford, Crittenden, Cross, Dallas, Faulkner, Franklin, Fulton,  Garland, Grant, Greene, Hempstead, Hot Spring, Howard, Independence, Izard, Jefferson, Johnson, Lafayette, Lawrence, Lee, Little River, Logan, Lonoke, Madison, Marion, Miller, Mississippi, Monroe,  Nevada, Ouachita, Perry, Pike, Poinsett, Polk, Pope, Prairie, Pulaski, Randolph, Saline, Scott, Sebastian, Sevier, Sharp, St. Francis, Stone, Union, Washington, White, Woodruff and Yell.

This is the 23rd Certificate of Authority issued for new business by Commissioner Kerr since taking office in January 2015.
