Department efficiencies leads to fewer staff

“I am very proud of the work we have implemented since my first day as Commissioner to efficiently use our resources and reduce Department costs.  I am even prouder to say that with a reduction of personnel since 2015, the Arkansas Insurance Department is moving forward with its consumer protection mission and welcoming new companies at an expanded rate, especially those domesticated in Arkansas.”

In January 2015, there were 192 employees working for the Arkansas Insurance Department including temporary extra help and workers whose salaries were funded by federal grants but still received state benefits.
