Kerr Approves 55th New Company

Indiana insurer is 20th of 2017

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr today released the following statement announcing that he has granted a Certificate of Authority to an Indiana-based company to begin selling insurance products in Arkansas:

“I am pleased to welcome yet another insurance company to Arkansas.  With this announcement, the Insurance Department is poised to exceed its total from 2016 which illustrates how our state continues to be open for business.”

Kerr granted authority to American Inter-Fidelity Exchange of Merrillville, Indiana, to sell property, casualty (excluding workers compensation), and surety products.  The company is a reciprocal insurer wherein all insureds are members of the exchange, and is currently authorized to write business in ten states.  Primarily a writer of commercial auto business, the company holds an “A-“ (Excellent) rating from A.M.
