Kerr Encourages Retirement Planning

National Retirement Planning Week Runs Through April 13

LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr today released the following statement announcing he supports the National Retirement Planning Coalition’s efforts to promote retirement planning for Americans through National Retirement Planning Week, which runs April 9-13:

“Each day about 10,000 Baby Boomers enter their retirement years, and many are unsure of their financial future.  Carving some time out on a routine basis to review your finances and assess you financial preparedness for retirement is an achievable first step toward financial freedom.  I encourage Arkansans to be proactive about planning and seeking professional guidance as warranted.”

The National Retirement Planning Coalition, spearheaded by the Insured Retirement Institute, recognizes the need to educate Americans on retirement planning and is committed to making this a national priority.  National Retirement Planning Week and other activities demonstrate that it is possible to “Retire On Your Terms.”  To learn more, please visit www.retireonyourterms.org.
