2019 Rate Requests Approved
Approved rates show stability of Arkansas market
LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Allen Kerr today released the following statement announcing the approval by the Arkansas Insurance Department of individual health insurance marketplace rate changes for plan year 2019:
“I am proud of the work of AID's Regulatory Health Link Division to efficiently and effectively review these rate requests that show stability in the Arkansas health insurance market."
The rate requests approved for individual on-marketplace qualified health plans (QHPs) for Plan Year 2019 are:

The approved rates represent the average increase for plans based upon their filings with the Department and were subject to independent actuarial analysis to determine if the requests were actuarially sound, excessive, inadequate, or unfairly discriminatory. Individual policyholders may see a higher or lower increase of their premiums or, in some cases, a decrease for Plan Year 2019.
