The mission Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) of Arkansas engages certified counselors who offer one-to-one unbiased information for Medicare beneficiaries, their families and caregivers when making informed decisions about their Medicare, MEDIGAP policies, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Part D (drug plans) and Long-term care insurance at no cost.

AR SHIIP’s professionally trained and knowledgeable partners are statewide and offer in-person or over the phone assistance with enrolling in Medicare, Medicare Advantage, MEDIGAP, Medicare Part D (drug plans) and Long-term care insurance at no cost. Our localized certified counselors help Medicare beneficiaries, their families and caregivers understand Medicare, and the different options available.

Our partners perform a screening and examination to determine if a Medicare recipient would be eligible for a low-income extra help programs or other services, including out-of-pocket expense of Medicare and prescription drug costs. If not eligible they may initiate a plan review to discover other ways to save some money.
